Message From the Dean
I am pleased to report that I recently received a letter from Dr. R. Leiand West stating that the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education voted to continue the pres¬ ent full academic accreditation status of the College.
Although the College has experienced reduction in budget during the last fiscal year, through careful management we have not yet had to make significant reductions in our programs and services. It is particularly gratifying to report that we continue to attract outstanding new faculty members. During the past year we have hired several new faculty members, including Dr. James Creed, Section Chief, Small Animal Surgery, and Dr. Charles Root, Section Chief, Radiology.
Over the next several months Barbara and I will be mak¬ ing trips to visit with alumni groups and friends of the College. We hope to see many of you in July at the AVMA Convention in New York. Our reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tues¬ day, July 19 in the Monarch Room at the Sheraton Center.
Finally, my sincere thanks to all of you who have con¬ tributed so generously to the College this past year.
