| About the Farm | The Isaac S. Favor Farm located in Logan County was designated as an Oklahoma Centennial Farm in 2007. The original 157.22 acres of the homestead came into the possession of the Favor family shortly after the 1889 Land Run when Isaac and his son John came from Kansas and began homesteading the land. As the story goes, this piece of land had not been claimed during the run and John was left to hold it while Isaac returned to Kansas to bring his wife, Elizabeth, and other children to Oklahoma. The early days of the farm consisted of clearing the land, raising hogs and cattle, and growing wheat. Isaac died in 1897 and Elizabeth died in 1934. |
