| Description | Twyla Mason Gray was interviewed May 31, 2007 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Mrs. Gray (Mason while serving) was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1980 and served through 1984. She represented House District 23 and was a member of the Democratic Party. She discusses her decision to run for elective office and her campaign strategy along with her experiences serving in the House. She also shares her thoughts on women in the political area and the culture of the legislature during her service. |
