| Description | Jan Collins was interviewed October 22, 2007 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Mrs. Collins was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1984 and served through 1986. She represented House District 93 and was a member of the Republican Party. Mrs. Collins shares her memories of running as a member the minority party, meeting Ronald and Nancy Reagan, and legislating with other women. She also discusses her attempts at getting legislation out of committee and heard. |
