| Description | Mary Easley was interviewed November 10, 2009 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Mrs. Easley was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1996 and served through 2004 at which time she was elected to the Oklahoma Senate and served through 2010. She represented House District 78 and held the Senate District 18 seat. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Mrs. Easley talks about her decision to run for political office and about sharing the experience with her son. She also shares her thoughts on changing to the Senate, serving with her son, autism, Henry Bellmon, and term limits. |
