| Description | Barbara Staggs was interviewed April 11, 2007 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Mrs. Staggs was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1994 and served through 2006. She represented House District 14 and was a member of the Democratic Party. She discusses her life as an educator, running for elected office and serving in the House. A few of her legislative efforts include the crossbow hunting bill, the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, and the Concealed Weapons bill. |
