My dear Cy:
This is a belated acknowledgment of your good letter of June 10th which I have read with much interest.
I deeply appreciate your political loyalty and your long personal friendship. I am not enthused much over another political campaign, but I am grateful to you and my other friends and will discuss the matter with you when I return to inactive status about the first of the coming year.
I have been away from home a long time and long for the peace and happiness which comes only from living simply and privately with one's happy family and friends.
I was sorry to learn about your son, Gordon. I didn't know of his passing until I received your letter.
I stopped at the airport in Tulsa for a few moments on my recent flying visit to the States and saw my brother. I
